Pakistan on Sunday granted consular access to Kulbhushan Jadhav. India’s Deputy High Commissioner to Pakistan, Gaurav Ahluwalia, reached the Pakistan foreign affairs ministry earlier today and met Jadhav, news agency PTI reported, quoting Pakistan media.
According to Pakistan, Kulbhushan Jadhav was arrested in Balochistan on March 3, 2016. He was charged with involvement in spying and subversive activities. In April 2017, Islamabad announced Jadhav had been found guilty and a Pakistan court sentenced him to death
India rejected the allegations and insisted he was kidnapped by Pakistani operatives from the Iranian port of Chabahar, where he was running a business.
In April 2017, Pakistan announced that Jadhav had been given the death sentence by a military court.
