Sur-Sangam 2019 showcases an enthralling cultural extravaganza for art and music lovers

A moment to cherish for art and music lovers as Ragaaz Music Academy in tandem with the Pracheen Kala Kendra hosted an enthralling musical extravaganza featuring top Indian Fusion bands and eminent classical artists alongside highly talented local artists in the millennium city of Gurgaon recently.
The crowds had an enchanting time as they were treated to music from different genres alongside different artists. The art works displayed in the art gallery were a sheer treat to view under one roof, and no wonder left the audience absolutely spellbound. Sur-Sangam-2019, true to its vision of bringing the magic of all genres together and promoting local artists, showcased wide melange of programs for nonstop 8 hrs.
The program was blessed by the gracious presence of Madhu Azad , Hon. Mayor of Gurgaon, Deepak Singh, Cultural Ambassador, Seychelles, Salman and Jems from Astitva Band, Deepesh Rahi, Voice of Panjab, Bhavisha Patel, Environmentalist & Founder Rootskills, Sarika Panda, Co founder Rahgiri.
The rocking day long performances by 9 bands were just overwhelming and after a tough competition the bad- Tathagat Project was declared as winners of competition. The winners received cash prize of Rs 10,000/- a complete audio video free from Ragaaz Studio and discount vouchers of worth Rs 25,000/- from Bhargava Music.
The rocking bands were ensued by a soul soothing performance by renowned Flute maestro Pt Ronu Majumdar and Tabla maestro Pt Tanmay Bose. This was followed by a brilliant vocal performance by Pt Kaivalya Kumar Gurav and an equally enchanting Jugalbandi by Ustad Ghulam Siraj Niazi & Ghulam Aziz Nizai which left the audience completely mesmerized.
The showstopper was Dr Samira Koser who received a standing ovation from the audience after her breathtaking Kathak dance performance. All the accompanying artists namely Sumit Mishra (Harmonium),Guru Brij Mohan Gangani (Padhant), Ustad Shakil Ahmed (Tabla), Pt. Ramesh Parihar (Vocal), Mahmood Khan (Tabla), Saeed Khan (Sarangi), Ezaz Khan (Sarangi) and Debashish Adhikary (Tabla), Ghulam Sultan Niazi (Tabla) and Kalpesh Sachala (Harmonium) put up an unforgettable show. Young artist Abdul Samad Khan Niazi, students from Ragaaz Music Academy, Nrityabhinaya Dance Academy and Abhivyakti Bahukala Academy also performed during the course of the program. The stunning Art Gallery was conceptualized and installed by Gurgaon Fine Arts Academy and Navya Naveli.
The achievers in various categories were conferred the Sur Sangam Excellence Awards, and these were presented to them by Madhu Azad, Hon Mayor, Gurgaon, Sajal Koser, Secretary, Pracheen Kala Kendra and Deepak Sing (Cultural Ambassador Seychelles)
The winners included - Ustad Ghulam Aziz Niyazi (Classical Music), Rinni Malaviya and Dr Parul Purohit Vats (Performing Arts) and Barkha Raghav (Fine Arts). The Youth Icon Award was bagged by Dhruv Bedi while the Young Achiever Award went to Abhivandan Vij.
Main organizers Aparna Bhattacharya, Director Ragaaz Music Academy and Sajal Koser, Secretary Pracheen Kala Kendra felicitated Madhu Azad, Mayor Gurgaon along with the other Guests of Honour of the evening.
As she proposed a vote of thanks, Aparna Bhattacharya expressed her gratitude to the audience for making the event a big hit.
