Ah beautiful memories with the lovely @kalkikanmani #zindiginamilegidoobara#excelentertainment #movie love. ♥️ #throwback
Was one of the first film experiences in Mumbai, after the Disney India series #ishaan. And what a fabulous team to work with. Couldn't have chosen a better director to work with nor better production house, as a first experience. This memory will always be very dear to me, and the fact people loved the film is the icing on the cake 🥂 ...See more
Yes i saw Padmavati, or the now called ‘Padmaavat’ tonight & honestly, i love it.
Despite of all the negative publicity, hatred & backlashes received by the film, it did manage to be a great movie for your hard earned money!
SLB not only managed to depict the greatness of Rajput values, but also the monstrous nature of Alauddin Khilji.
Although, he isn’t quite successful in showcasing the romantic chemistry between Maha Rawal Singh and Raani Padmavati & this is something which we all were excited about.
Shahid Kapoor looks stunning in the role, but i did feel that Ranveer’s Khilji outshines it.
Deepika is truly a queen when it comes to expressions.
Nobody could have given justice to Raani Padmavati’s role other than her. Her dialogues are less yet powerful. She finally looks a bit different sporting that unibrow.
This movie does go on slower pace here and there, but whenever Ranveer is on screen, you can’t keep your eyes off him.
Some scenes will give you a sense of Khilji’s monstrous behaviour, such as the one in which he pours the entire ‘ittar’ on a slave’s body and rubs her against him to apply it on him or maybe the one in which he makes out with a slave on his wedding day.
This movie will make you laugh at places where Jim Sarbh is pleasing the Sultan by his idiotic tricks, but does outshine a lot of other performances.
The most talked about scene, ‘Jauhar’ scene is the one which will surely give you goosebumps. It is something which makes you wanna believe the ‘light over darkness’ quotes which we have been hearing all our lives.
Story does have a few continuity issues and fails to connect with the audience, which SLB is famous for.
But all this can be neglected as the entire film oozes out beauty.
Beautiful shots, epic songs, perfect costumes & above all, great actors, this movie is truly a must watch.
Go out and see for yourself.
