Lying on the shore of a quiet beach, soaking the warm sun in a fantastic swimwear, with high waves humming a tune, that call you out now and then to feel the water and sand run through your feet. Quite a holiday picture, isn’t it? And such a picture my mind painted when I received this Pretty Peplum Swimwear from Pretty Secrets.com. Since it was the first time for a Swimwear shoot, the feeling of worry and anticipation is something I dealt with till we finished shooting it a few days ago. I had quite a few vague pictures as to how the look and the location could be, but we decided to go ahead with a Not-So-Predictable-Yet-Connected-With-The-Outfit location and this Ancient Fort with a Water Reservoir right in the centre of the premises seemed to be a prefect fit. Keeping the non-beachy location in mind, I decided to add a playful touch to the look with these White Sneakers. The undying love for layers made me add this oversized shirt which stood quite well against the soft floral print of the Swimwear and the rustic feel of this old fort. Apart from the regular messy buns and open hair, I have been trying to explore with different hairdos and style my hair in different fun ways. Nothing but the fun and carefree plaits came into my mind to match this look. Added flowers as an hair adornment which quenched my long held desire of doing so.
And because it’s been a while I did a music post, here is a list of Tracks that I have been listening to over and over again.

Down By The Riverside
We all have a Bucket list, and a visit to Kerala was added to mine a long time ago. After a couple of plans during school and last minute cancellations, I finally got lucky. We were all invited to a beautiful traditional Kerala wedding right in the middle of monsoon, one of the best times to be there. From buying the first Kerala saree to planning the ensembles, everything about it kept me giddy & on my toes for about a fortnight. The three hour drive from Trivandrum Airport to the quiet town of Chengannur, snuggled in the eastern part of the Alappuzha district of Kerala, was breathtaking. Watching the night sky filled with stars and hearing the rain pour down while the coconut trees shook heartily were our favourite things to do, amongst many other things, during our stay. A week’s gone by and even after, I still have withdrawals.
The backwaters were nothing less than what I had imagined it to be. Picture perfect and right out of the pictures that I’d been seeing for all these years. One could endlessly stare at the colors, the quietness and stillness of the river water. It was an ideal location for this vague-yet-clear-in-my-mind outfit I had in mind for a while. Traditional Indian colors and elements with the right touch of femininity, showcasing a woman celebrating her sensuality amidst the nature. Nostalgia took over as we looked at the ripples created by the pebbles we threw in the river and watched the paper boats we left race to an unknown destination, trusting that it ended up where it should be.

A Quiet Walk
“All I think and talk about is leaving the city and owning a small cottage in the middle of the jungles and mountains, with just enough to keep me content and happy. A walk in the woods with the cold fresh breeze drifting though the trees, sit by the window with a hot cup of coffee in the evenings and watch the rain pour down the glass window panes, my heart yearns for such pictures. For someone who hasn’t traveled a lot I feel I am not being honest with myself. Trying to strike a balance between what your heart really desires and what you have to do is very difficult, isn’t it?
And thus I am really looking forward to this trip planned to God’s own country, Kerala. Get to be a part of this Traditional Kerala wedding, apart from witnessing the best of nature. Couldn’t be more excited. While seeking places that calm my restless mind amidst the concrete jungle, we found this small rocky spot with a beautiful view. With these dreamy images floating in my head, and for the love of layering, I decided to pair this Comfy-chic Midi skirt from the much quirky Airplane Collection by QuirkBox, with pastel colors that would allow the print on the skirt to stand out. A basic white T-shirt and this muted green Shirt Dress together with the skirt, create the perfect layered look for the weather in the city here. Added a hat, oversized sunnies and my comfy sneakers, for walk in the hills, with a pleasantly warm and clear sky while the sun shined bright.”

One of the eight principles of the universe says, “The universe demands balance”. The key to that would be to find balance within ourselves, or at least be comforted to know that it can be achieved. The vision of desires are ever so clear, just the blurry path laid with never-ending thorn-filled obstacles. Confined between hypocritical walls. Walls of time built up by expectations, causing an inner wildfire of emotions. Levitating above the chaos we find on ground seeking solace and clarity.
The All-Black attire reflects a longingness within, while projecting skin-level confidence. Skirt Pants, Bindi and Antique Neckpiece portray a warrior-like personality who is unaware of what lies ahead but at the same time is always strong and sturdy, come what may.
